My name is Brooke.  I love to read, and I hate wasting time on a book that turns out to be garbage.  I started Books Distilled to share the books I love, and hopefully to protect you from ever reading an unsatisfying book again.

A few other facts about me: I’m a book nerd: I have an English degree from Vassar College and am currently pursuing an MFA through Fairfield University’s low residency program. I’m writing a novel, which is both thrilling and terrifying. My husband and I live in Long Island.

I do not accept mysteries, young adult or children’s books, horror, or biographies.  I also do not accept self-published books at this time.  Please contact me at the above email if you’d like me to review something.
